“Veganism is not a sacrifice – it is a joy.” – Gary L. Francione

There was a time when Edinburgh only had one vegan restaurant, today nearly every menu has a couple of vegan options on it. Here are some of our favourite vegan places to eat.

Harmonium – Wed – Sunday 12:00 – 22:00 (last orders 21:00)

Harmonium is new to Edinburgh but they have come from the well established Sterio & Co in Glasgow. Growing out of the competitive food scene in Glasgow Harmonium aim to give you great food for a good price. On top of their ever evolving food menu they also have a great drinks selection.  They source their coffee from a local Edinburgh roaster and all their wine is 100% organic. We particularly enjoy their fantastic cocktails.

Baked Potato Shop : 11am – 9pm

The Baked Potato Shop does exactly what you would expect. Basically they bake potatoes!  Established in 1983 this makes it one of the longest established food outlets dedicated to vegetarian and vegan food found in Edinburgh.  They have a wide selection of hot and cold toppings to put on top of their giant potatoes.  As well as potatoes they also have a selection of soups and salads on offer as well.

David Bann : Mon - Thu : 12 – 10pm, Fri : 12 - 10:30, Sat : 11am – 10:30pm, Sun 11am – 10pm

David Bann is one of the top vegetarian chefs in the country.  Because of this he has gained a great reputation for top end vegetarian cuisine.  Voted one of the top three vegetarian restaurants in the country it is a must visit for nouvelle dinning.  The restaurant offers a wide variety of food.  They take inspiration from across the world.  We recommend a visit here for special occasions such as birthdays.  The restaurant is on St Mary's St where we also run our whisky tour.

Old Town, History and Tales

Amusing stroll in Edinburgh. Lovely tour, Ben being a hilarious guide, telling things you don't find in a tourist book, interesting stories, showing hidden gems. Perfect, thanks.
