Cocktails

“If you were to ask me if I’d ever had the bad luck to miss my daily cocktail, I’d have to say that I doubt it; where certain things are concerned, I plan ahead.” - Luis Bunuel

Are you like Luis Bunuel and need a cocktail a day to keep the Dr away?  If so we have curated our top picks for top cocktails in town.

Dragonfly – Sun-Thu 16:00 – 1:00, Fri-Sat 14:00 – 1:00

Dragonfly is a laid-back cocktail bar located just off of the Grassmarket.  It has a relaxed 1920s atmosphere to it.  Because of this it is great for unwinding in after a long day of site seeing.  They have a wide selection of unique cocktails that their dedicated bar team have created.  They can also whip up any classic cocktail not listed on their menu.

Panda & Son – Mon-Fri 16:00 – 1:00, Sat-Sun 15:00 – 1:00

Panda & Son is not an easy bar to find.  Let us try and help you.  Firstly, as you walk along Queen Street you may come across a vintage barber shop that appears to be open late into the evening.  If you step inside and head down the stairs you will be confronted by a bookshelf.  Pull the correct book and you will have stepped into Panda & Sons. It is a speakeasy and cocktail bar, surely one of Edinburgh's most unique venues.

The Dome – Mon-Sun 10:00 – 24:00

The building has a long a varied past, formerly used as a school for surgeons and a bank.  The Dome is now a fine dining restaurant with a stunning bar which is located in the old banking hall.  Stepping into the Dome is like stepping into a James Bond set.  Because of this you half expect to see Sean Connery at the bar ordering a martini.  Sean may not be there but the martinis will be.
